Allium ampeloprasum (Hardneck). This is a fun member of the allium plant family; Elephant garlic grows big and can weigh over a kilo per bulb produced! The massive bulbs can be up to 15cm in diameter. The cloves are much larger than conventional garlic with a milder taste. Use in a wide choice of culinary delights. Roasting whole is ideal, once roasted simply spread over crusty bread, or serve as a side to bbq’d or roasted meats or added to sauces and soups!

Height: up to 1.2m. Spread: 20cm. x4 cloves.

Origin: Central Asia, Iran
